It would be interesting if Windows emulates the storing of a region code and the number of region code changes remaining for drives that don't actually store such things, but can play DVDs, if such a DVD drive even exists - and then Windows turns around and says that even if you reinstall Windows or move the drive to another computer, you won't change the number of changes remaining, when in fact that would put it back in that situation. WhatChanged is also free, and snapshots not only the registry, but also files, and then can compare snapshots. Had it involved non-registry files, a program called WhatChanged would have been helpful. ![]() I used an open source (thus free) program called Regshot to figure out which registry key it was. Simply delete the value other than "Default" in the key, "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ jnz! " and restart. The "changes remaining" being how many times left you are allowed to change the DVD region.
